Happy October to everyone!

What's been happening this week? I paid 2 bucks to enter a tennis intramural tournament. Pretty unorganised thinge this tourney. Got a BYE (that means I go straight to second round) but I had to work at 4.30pm. *sigh* So, I gave my number to the guy I was supposed to play, telling him to arrange a game the next day...

Next day. It rained. *sigh*
Never got the call anyway...

Frustration... Dissatisfaction... Unsupressed...!~ BOOM!
i was joking I didn't kill anyone.
In fact, I received a pleasant surprise during the evening. In my small, grey mailbox 268E, was a suspicious looking postcard...
On the cover was a very old pic of St. Michael's Institution, Ipoh. On the back, were ugly lil' blue scribblings....

**hold on, I've seen this writing somewhere before...**

Thanks Dude Jason. for your funny surprise. It's my first snail mail from home.

Big Horrific News!
Well, it's big to me, don't know bout you guys tho.
Yesterday evening. I was about to go out for an evening class when Jesse(me roommate) appeared.
"I've got something to talk to you 'bout, King..."

Something is different about his face... The usually jovial CMSU-team wrestler isn't so 'jovial' today. With his hands in his pockets he says,"...umm...Our coach strongly suggests that we stay with other wrestlers on the team..."
*Immediately I thought : "Oh, means he's gonna move out of the room to somewhere else..." *
"Would you mind exchanging rooms with another guy? He's in 1st floor of North Ellis...", Jesse whimpers.
*What??!*
Me, move out??! "...hey, umm.. can I talk to you later? ...gotta revive my brai... I mean, GOTTA go to class!"

---What will happen to King? Stay tuned for Episode 19-----

Let's Wrap Up This Boring Story...I was in the room. Jesse came into the room a few minutes ago. I felt our mutual attempt at avoiding direct eye contact.
"Strange, it wasn't supposed to be soooo awkward!..." I thought to myself.
I knew this would come. I knew he would feel guilty about asking me to move out. A part of me wanted to prolong the awkward silence, (I admit) as if it could increase his feeling of guilt! *sigh* Weird, but I felt guilty too,"Should I 'sacrifice' for his wrestling team?.." I asked myself...

Finally, after twirling the football in his hands for 20 minutes(it seemed), my roommate spoke up,"..s..s..so, King, how bout the moving issue?"

It was all up to me. So,I decided to stay. Told him that 268 East Ellis IS my HOME, very far away from home... It was more than the room itself, on my floor there were 5-6 other faithful christians, and I really wouldn't like to lose that fellowship... sorry.

---Well, let's keep the story simple, and end it right here...Time and prayer will bring everything back to normal, wouldn't it?---

It Hasn't Ended After All...

Announcement: King Pui is moving to 32 North Ellis, Warrensburg, MO 64093, USA.
It turns out that my roommate found a room next to my current one with only one guy in it. So, I agreed to move next door. But, after finding out some stuff about my future roommate, I kinda hesitated. Put it in simple terms, he ain't the kind of company i would enjoy being with?

So, I found another room which is the address above. Future roommate is Justin. pray for this situation, k ? Thanks!

It's Sunday and I have not moved out yet...

I got all my stuff packed and ready to go. I'm just waiting for the American dudes to come back from their Fall holiday. THe holidays are Friday, Sat, and Sunday.

Yesterday I met a girl from Thailand named Jeab. I was in the library and she walked over and asked whether I play tennis. I was (a little) shocked cos I hardly played tennis over here in the US. So anyway, Jeab invited me to play the next day over at the Morrow Courts. Met some other people there : Dennis, Marina(Argentina), Min(Laos).

I miss our good ol' MYF cellgroup Bible studies. I don't seem to be learning much over here at the Freshman Bible Study Groups. Probably cos it's hard for anyone to compare to our Joanna Wong. (she's my ex-cellgroup leader). =]

My new room
I have moved in. The room looks bigger than the old one because of the high ceiling. I don't sleep on bunk beds anymore. And this dorm is a co-ed dorm. It's ok, I guess. Wasn't as bad as I thought.

Sadly, I am no longer as fired up for God like when I came back from Getaway. Sigh, I never wanted it to be this way. Earlier, the plan was to start an Christian outreach in the dorms. It started off well with the planning and stuff. Got my christian friends together and had a good meeting. Then, I had to take care of my moving out. Seems so far from them friends now. It's kinda hard to get back to my plan after that.

Something that I felt God was trying to tell me last night was that I was trying too hard. I wanted everything to be Perfect before the launch. Thats kinda draining. I guess so...

International Dinner and Hayride!
Just yesterday, the BSU(Baptist Student Union) hosted a bonfire/hotdog-roasting/smore'z eating/hayride dinner at a local farm here in Warrensburg...
The beautiful green countryside came into view when the bus we were riding on turned a corner. It was about 5.45 pm and the sun was soft and the wind was cool. I see cattle (thats cows ;]) grazing everywhere around me. Once outside the bus, could see the cow manure (that's shit) up close... one patch just about every 15 feet. sniff*ahhh...* nothing like the smell of the rough ol' Missouri outdoors...

A beautiful day.

One more day to grow closer to Jesus. One more day to be more like Him. One more day to share the good news.

The Hayride.
I met students from Japan, Mexico, England, Kenya, Nigeria, Guatemala, China, Taiwan, France, Thailand..and even our own Missouri. We had hotdogs, lemonade, hot chocolate, smores, marshmallows and other stuff. =]
When the sun went down, it was time for the Hayride. Basically it's when everyone sits on stacks of hay while being pulled by a truck... heheh.. pretty mindless thinge, but I ain't complainin'...

After that, we all sat around the warm bonfire and sang Jesus songs. Next, we had each country present one or two songs in their native language...

woo hoo!

20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:

"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
and naked I will depart. [3]
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised."
- Job 1: 20-21

Passion Experience Tour in Columbia, Mizzou.
Columbia is about an hour and a half drive from Warrensburg. It seems that this was the first time Passion ever came to Missouri... phwoar! =]
Chris Tomlin started off the worship session, but I forgot what song tho... Who cares wat song! It's who we sing it too, no? woo hoo!..
yeap, Louie (Giglio, that is..) then tried to provoke the all the students stuffed in the Hearnes Centre(that's the hall) by "quoting" some people from Indiana. [the stop for Passion Tour the day before.]
Louie: "Yesterday, I asked the ppl in Indiana what they thought about Missouri folks. THe reply was: 'They are real quiet and shy folks... so don't expect much...' " AT THIS POINT, the crowd Roareddd! What the..?!?!
Well, later during his message Louie apologised and said that Indiana did NOT say those stuff, he was just jokin'... =] hahahhahah!

Where does the book of Job come in?...

Hah. There was this one part during the Passion Experience Tour that struck me. Tomlin was telling us about a song. This song is by Matt Redman. And it comes from the book of Job. WHat??!?! JOb? ...not many songs come from there, do they?

However, according to Tomlin, Matt thinks that there is one line in the song that the "church" might not like... Yet, he thinks it's important for the church...
The line goes something like: " You give and take away, you give and take away, ... still blessed be Your name... "
compare it to:

"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
and naked I will depart. [3]
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised."

Whoa. Made me realize my stupidity.
You see, recently I was praising God only when times are good... I fall flat on my face when faced with even the smallest trials... [well, you get it.] I was unlike Job.

Should we fall down when things aren't going right..?....

yes.

we should............ fall down in worship ,that is... =]
