Hahah... finally..
my teow keh-ness had an effect huh?

Well, just yesterday night i played for 7:10. It's a weekly worship by the BSU. Sorta like Christian fellowship, i guess. My band consisted of lead worshipper/acoustic guitar Cory, electric guitar Skip, awesome drums Daniel, bass guitar ME, backup Elisha. Played 3 praise songs first and then came time for the Word. After that, continued with worship. And about Skip, you guys won't believe how old he actually is... Everytime someone is asked to guess his age, hahah, they'll say about 27-29 like that.. But, WRONG !! =] Daniel (drums) was saved last summer, [praise Jesus!] woo hoo! and now he's an awesome guy.

Actually this week there's no sermon from the Word. But Michelle, a girl who just came back from a 2-month mission trip from India, spoke of her experience. This girl spoke of her experiences and how God had to change her heart b4 he could send her. Pretty touching yet encouraging...

Blessed be the name was one of the songs we played. This is the one I wrote about in my previous journal entries (concerning Passion). Love that song. Hahah! =]

Movie Night
Every monday night is movie night in Christian Campus House. This week the movie is Finding Nemo. This be my second time watching it.. Totally Dude!! woa... =] I figured it would be nice to invite some international friends to watch too. I invited some Mexican friends to watch it too. Too bad it rained that night, and homework stopped them from joining me. But, I went with Maki(she's from Japan)... This time we watched even after the credits! hahah! I didn't know it could be so entertaining! =] (the small "bring-a-friend fish gobbled the nasty Angler!)

It's tuesday today. I'm gonna play some basketball in the evening. It's actually a 3-on-3 tournament hosted by BSU. The guy organizing it, Brooks Barefoot, WOA!! ,... awesome person, God-centered man... so encouraging... He planned it as an evangelical outreach kinda thing...

Well, 2 guys from my Intro to Mass comm class asked me to join their team, haha! (hope they won't regret it).. so I'm hoping to have fun tonite, AND shine the light of Christ too...! =]

Also recently went to the guitar shop to buy some new pegs for the Hohner... On the way, went into the public library of Warrensburg. They were selling second hand books for 10 cents a piece! wow... I bought some National Geographics and Reader's Digest... hah!! Mi and Di would be proud... ;p

I had a boost of encouragement on Monday... It seems my jokes DO WORK in America !! ahahah!! ....Participated in a International Student Panel on "Dating". I basically had to tell them how "the dating proses" is in Msia, together with students from Turkey, India and Mexico... Of course, some of my jokes were pretty lame and out-of-context.(For example, one about Bollywood's dancing behind trees, only the girl from India understood, sigh*).. but most of them hit the audience's funny bone!... Some came up to me after that, showerin some praise... woo hoo!!

The Worst Shot Ever
yup.... I'm a baaad shot in basketball. About 1 in 25 throws will go in..*sigh* Didn't stop me from having fun tho.

HOWEVER, Before it started, my teammate(supposedly) Pete told me that he had a ballroom dancing class at the same time as the game. AND it seems he forgets about it often too. Ryan(other teammate) didnt show up.. and I was kinda feeling "inferior" to these big, tall Americans.. =]] haha! So, I didn't play in the tournament la! [chickened out', in other terms=]

I sat down with some friends watching the matches. After a while, I felt so much like going back to my dorm... Fortunately I did NOT make that decision. Cos, after that we had a 5 on 5 match! Pete finished his class, Adrian (a new friend) came back and joined in. I didn't score at all(of cos).. mostly running up and down the court, trying to guard.. =] But, I enjoyed myself... The best part was seeing some non-believer friends enjoying themselves! The other BSU guys got to know Pete and Adrian thru a game of basketball [AND soccer later]...

*sigh*THAT really made my day la ;]... not the sports itself, but the knowledge that this Tuesday didn't pass in vain... I think We should make it a point everyday to "bond" with ppl, showing God's love, being nice, [hopefully, gradually, but surely planting Christ's seed in the hearts of ppl around us...]

Website[s] of The Week!

These are awesome websites which have undeniably encouraged me in my walk with God... Sites made and managed by men and women passionate about Jesus Christ our Lord...

---you know the feeling of "dryness" you sometimes have? when God seems so far and trouble seems to be lurking at every corner? well, I understand too... we all hate that, I'm sure... and often I even feel guilty that "multimedia presentations, music, and websites" can bring me "back on track" quicker than The Word, prayer and worship of our God. But i've come to realize that these stuff can "fire us up" only temporarily...---

The SOLUTION: find a way to use these "helps" to encourage and assist you in the REAL & LASTING stuff (e.g. prayer, Word, daily quiet time, worshipful lifestyle)... Never ever replace these with the other stuff!Utilize it! =] God bless!

2 Corinthians 4
17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

SundaySnow?
Today the temperature dropped so drastically. I remembered just a few days ago, we could wear t-shirts and shorts to class because it was bright and hot. According to weather predictions, we are supposed to have snow today! hahah! It would be my first time too...

Went to the 10.30 service at First Baptist Church, Warrensburg this morning. After that, watched Moulin Rouge in my room.

Other than that, there isn't much happening in my life. But just yesterday, my partner working on the grill at work kinda surprised me. He lives on my floor too, so he sees the "God freak" posters on my door almost everyday... I've been hoping and praying that he would be interested in seeking God. And Woila! Yesterday at work, I asked him if he liked South Park. [THe episode I just watched touched on a Mormon family who moved in Stan's neighbourhood]...

I don't know how it happened, but the South Park topic kinda jumped into Christianity. Most of his questions and retorts were pretty sound but I tried my best to give him the answers... =] I plan to get him the "Case for Christ" book too.
Praise God! woo hoo!

St Louis, MIssouri
Now I am at Josh Earl's home. His family consists of his parents, a little brother and sister. Oh yeah! ..Not to forget his dog, Chelsea.. The 3 hour ride to his home isn't bad at all, I realized God has been doing wonderful things in Josh's life, and he's full of passion for Him! =] Josh is planning to stay one more semester in CMSU and then later go to Evangel University... He's hoping to be a youth pastor, woo hoo!!

Tonite dinner consisted of roast beef, mashed potatoes and other stuff. =] It's also AW(Josh's dad)'s birthday today. Besides that, it hasn't snowed yet in Missouri. Guess I'll have to wait till Christmas.

Ideas for Tim: Hey Tim, you asked for creative ideas... last Sunday night I went to Awaken!( a college and young adult weekly worship gathering in 1st Baptist). Anders and Jessica brought Gabriel and I to the church earlier because of a prayer meeting. Found out that every week, a few faithful will sacrifice about 30-45 minutes of their time to pray for Awaken! I just find this very good habit missing in MYF... Hope you can start this up. =] And keep praying, do not give up.
