A mighty satisfying week has passed. There were so many mini-miracles happening all week, ...I wished I had recorded them down! =] But I didn't.

I remember after one long and tired night, Scott(a guy from my floor) walked into my room to say hi. He picked up my guitar and plucked a few jazzy tunes. So the usual "What's up / What you do today" happened... I forgot what I said(but i know it was something about christian ministry) then the little-miracle started. Scott's face magically transforms into Mr sarcastic and he says : "is that All you're about? God-stuff??... aw man..." In my head, I try to assemble the proper words to say.... and without warning, he stood up and explained his views on religion, Christ and life. Just like that. I didn't say anything... yet. My eyes lite up immediately!..
"ANything for God-talk.." "...sleep can wait.." =]

Caught up in this conversation, an hour passed in a flash! What an Amazing God. Out of the blue, KingPui's prayer to engage Scott in God-talk comes true...

He is still skeptical, ...yet I'm still glad of the increasingly open heart.... I will wait for the Spirit to do his thing. woo hoo!
Thats just one of the many things that happened this week. Stay tuned for more.

Yeah! Parents coming!

They will be arriving at Kansas City Airport on the 16th of March. THat's so soon! =] Please pray for a safe and blessed journey here.

Spring Break plans

One more week and it's spring break! I'm planning to go to Boulder,Colorado with a group from BSU!

Sunday!
Guess what? I'm going to join the First Baptist Church in Warrensburg! I went up during the invitation in service today, and will be getting baptized. (again) However, this time by immersion. "What?!?? baptise?/ again??" Wanna know more bout my past? mail me. =]

On the outside, the things that are happening to me DOES sound pretty weird, huh? I know. With all the "Baptist here, Baptist there, aptist everywhere.." Hear this, initially I had the same thoughts too.... there's a certain stigma about the "baptist" (specially southern baptist)....
Let me assure you, "baptist" is just a name for a church. I know this church is "safe" and growing because the the pastor and congregation are not hung up on denomination. In fact, today pastor Bob mentioned that "God couldn't care less of our denominations, but He looks at our hearts." (paraphrased) All of us have a common vision: to seek God and strive to be a healthy church described in Acts 2. So pray for me..... pray for the body of Christ in Warrensburg.

=] chiao!

Spring Break
Adventures in Boulder, Colorado...

WE (all 9 of us) started the drive at about 8am in the morning of Saturday. Three vehicles: One white Ford truck, an SUV, and an old Lexus. Can we persevere thru the 11-12 hour drive??! Obviously... yes. I'm still here ain't I? Yeeha!

JasonAllen, Eric, Page, Janie, Scott, Daniel, Josh, Harvey and me. What a bunch of different misfits. haha! =] On the way to Boulder, I begin to have some doubts about the trip.
"What are we gonna do here??" "I don't wanna sit in a car for 12 hours, pay money, and NOT do any significant stuff.." sigh.
This trip was really "flexible" , not many fixed programs and stuff, and that irritates me just a little. Maybe I'm an Asian. Maybe it's just the way I'm raised. OR maybe ...I attend a Methodist church! =] Haha! just joking...
Fortunately, I was proved wrong. I learnt that trying to do things with our own strength does not guarantee success. BUT where the spirit of god is, things will go awesomely darn good! Yup. I had a wonderful time in Boulder.

The 12 (minute) drive ;]
Our troupe encountered some vehicle problems on the way there. Eric's Lexus tire had some kind of leak, so we had to go fix it. Next, Chris' truck started smoking... Turns out to be a transmission problem. BIg problem. Cost him(or maybe his parents) some serious dough...

.....Thru the flatlands of Kansas, we reach the state of Colorado.....
Still...

flatlands... "Wat, no mountains??!?"

"John Denver's full of cr** ..." (someone) quips!

Laughter. :-]

"Still a few more hours, people..."

Finally, our destination!

The place that agreed to house these 9 people from Warrensburg is called Horizons 777. Cool, eh? That's the building's number, also god's faves numbers. Just to let you guys in on a little of the building's history: Just a few decades ago, this building was owned by Moonies. (THese people believe in SUn-Myung Moon, thus the term "moonies".) In case you dont know, Moonies are a cult. Moon proclaims to be the CHrist, to fulfill the task that Jesus "failed to accomplish..."

Well, now this building owned by people of God. For the first few nights, we guys slept in the upper room once reserved ONLY for the "revered" sun-myung moon. Hah.
What does that tell me?

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Ahhh.... so comforting, huh? This thing we believe is true, IS TRUE. That's why. Take that you moonies. =]

Gtg sleep now, update more later.
