Ah There You Are
Thinker Kenneth Burke likens life to a roomful of individuals interacting with one another. The way of entry to this roomful of conversation? Our birth into this world. Our death shall be its exit. From birth, we negotiate relationships, gather data and test the waters of other discussions that take place. We mingle and enter an inexpressible number of dialogues.
Come time, we would know enough of the topics and culture of the room to join in. Our toes have wetted; our bodies have acclimated. At this juncture, we begin to personally participate in the room's conversations; contributing and not merely listening to our peers speak. We do this as newer people step in the entrance and older ones move out. We do this until we reach the other side of the room and it becomes our turn to step out.
Great news. In regards to art and beauty, I think I'm starting to wade.
